A complete and worn cast lead cloth seal with a joining strip. Disc 1: King facing, on ship and wielding a sword; rose on side of hull. Disc 2: plain with rivet head. 24.9 x 17.6 x 3.2mm. Weight: 6.69g.
Geoff Egan has commented that it is apparently a new medieval type. It seems to have the basic sword-wielding king in ship-of-state as on the late medieval gold coinage, and the rose on the side of the hull may point specifically to Edward IV's ryal (aka 'rose noble') of 1464/5-70. Although it is extremely worn, an inscription can be made out surrounding the main device, but i…

An incomplete cast lead cloth seal, probably issued during the reign of Queen Anne.
This disc was probably part of a four-disc seal from the series featuring a monarch's head. As Egan (1994, 60) states, the relief designs on these alnage seals are characterised by fine detail resulting from well-engraved dies. The disc bears a female bust facing left, that of Queen Anne surrounded by the inscription:
FIDEI DEFEN (Defender of the Faith).
The side with bust has a shiny buff patina and the rear side is plain and has a rough surface with a buff patina.

A complete but damaged cast lead cloth seal of Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1500 – c. AD 1650). Diameter: 21.7mm; thickness: 3.7mm; weight: 6.72g.
A two-disc seal with a connecting strip.
This cloth seal is corroded and worn. Consequently, it is difficult to determine the design on each face. However, it is probably a seal of Augsburg in Germany where fustians (mixed linen-warp and cotton-weft fabrics) were produced.
[Pine-cone] (possibly) // ornate A with a chevron bar.
The pine-cone is the heraldic badge of the city of Augsburg.
Examples are illustrated in Egan 1995.
