Lead two-part cloth seal, weighing 5.18g and 18mm in diameter. Inclusive of loop it is 24mm long. Geoff Egan writes : This one is not familiar, and quite a complicated privy mark, in which I think I can read (in alphabetical order) the initials CERV, though there seems to be more than this - not a regular round stamp (possibly two superimposed??). The style of mark, presumably that of a weaver/clothier, is mid C16th to mid C17th.

It measures 20x17x4mm and weighs 9.61g.

An incomplete and very probably 3-part post medieval lead cloth seal. It is 23mm in diameter and max width, and 29mm in incomplete length. The cloth seal is from the alnage system and depicts the Stuart Arms of Britain with IR to either side, on one face. It may well have had 1611 above the arms, though this part of the cloth seal is now missing. On the reverse, the smaller disc with the rivet on one face has a series of incised lines crossing each other on its reverse face. The third and missing disc may well have had the place name of origin. This cloth seal is comparable with no…
