An incomplete lead-alloy Post Medieval Dutch cloth seal dating AD 1600-1700. The seal comprises a broken disc and part of the connecting rivet. The front face depicts the shield of Haarlem depicting a sword, four stars and, above this, a cross patee. The design, in relief, is surrounded by part of the legend [HAE](R)LE(M) [GOET]. The opoosite face features part of the number 20 cast as central motif. An incomplete lead alloy cloth seal dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1600-1700). The object is circular in shape and consists of one whole plate and a fragment of a second plate. The complete face present a raised design which is possibly a shield with a voided cross in the centre. It has a slightly raised border. The reverse presents a knop that was likely used to attached the two plates together, a raised rib crosses the centre of the back of the complete plate. An almost complete cast lead alloy seal from the Baltic states cloth seal dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1750-1850). The seal is circular in shape. The obverse depicts a crossed shield with pellets in each quadrant. The reverse has two initials above, possibly 'MW' which denotes the previous grower/owner/agent. Below is '12K' which indicates there are 12 heads of top quality Crown flax in the bale. There are a number of these seals recorded on the database including LANCUM-8A3F0F. An incomplete Post Medieval lead-alloy two disc cloth seal dating to the period 1500-1600 AD. The seal consists of two discs joined by a connecting strip, now broken. One side contains a raised circumferential border. Situated within the border is the relief design of an off centre anchor flanked by a six-pronged star. Underneath the anchor are three pellets. The other side is flat containing unclear, due to heavy wearing, motif in relief. It could possibly be 19 in numericals. Diameter: 20mm; Thickness: 3mm; Weight: 7.45g.

A complete Post Medieval lead cloth seal dating to the period circa 1500-1600 AD. The object is a circular two disc cloth seal, comprised of the inner discs. The discs are now bent, folded over and distorted. Complete Post Medieval lead alloy four-disc cloth alnage seal. The non-rivet discs are both impressed; one side has a shield with a bend between three birds, the other has the date 1667 surmounted by the letters [AY]. The surviving letters indicate the seal is for Kersey cloth, a coarse woollen material of the period. Cf. NMS-74BAF5 and NMS-F18241.

An incomplete (one half of a two part) post medieval lead alloy cloth seal. The front face depicts a raised pine cone design and the reverse face has a circular rivet with a raised letter Y. The missing half probably bore the letter A on it, for Augsburg, Germany. Augsburg was known for its production of ‘fustian’, a mixed linen-warp/cotton-weft fabric, which could be made with a silky finish and used as a substitute for velvet. Similar objects can be found in records: DOR-992868, DEV-2076D0 Weight: 5.53gms. Length: 19.52mm. Width: 17.66mm. Thickness: 4.02mm.

An incomplete cast lead-alloy cloth seal probably issued under Charles I and dating c. 1625-1649. Only one disc of the original object survives, with the scar from its original circular integral stud visible on its reverse face. On the outer face of the surviving disc, the design of a crowned Tudor rose has been stamped, flanked by the initials 'C R'. Preserved in fair condition with an uneven greyish patina, it measures 16.28mm in diameter, 1.04mm thick and weighs 1.46g. A similar cloth seal has been recorded on the PAS database, see record SF-D45E92.

Incomplete leaden post medieval two-disc cloth seal with missing end to the connecting loop. The compressed rivet side is plain, but the other face has the impressed capitalised initials RC. Given the find was made in Norfolk these initials could be those of the warden that oversaw the quality of worsted cloth, which tally for the year 1702 AD. (Egan 1987, 416.) However, with the absence of any other corroborating marks this conclusion can only be tentative.

Part of a post-medieval (1500-1700) lead-alloy seal cloth consisting of disc one. Part of the squashed rivet remains on the reverse of disc one, and a small part of the connecting strip on one edge. The seal disc is circular, and the edges have been bent out of shape, though the disc is complete. Disc two is missing. The seal depicts a swan standing left (from the viewer's perspective) in low relief, with the letters MES on the left and *V on the right. The larger disc is stamped on the outside with a flat-topped Royal Tudor shield flanked by the letters E/R (Elizabeth I). The shield is contained within a cabled double border inside which the partial legend [...]VIALLE LON[...]. Part of a lead-alloy cloth seal of post-Medieval date. Only one disc of the seal remains, its upper surface bearing a relief-stamped portcullis. The reverse of this disc is uneven and the seal is bent and corroded. Dimensions: 13.7mm diameter, 2.5mm thick. Weight: 2.61g. The size and general nature of this piece suggest it is part of an alnage seal, probably originally comprising four discs. Lead alloy cloth seal, post medieval in date (c AD1600-1650). It comprises of two discs linked by a sprue, pressed together. The front disc has a relief inscription which reads: (S)T(C) 16'(01) (CM) over three lines, all within a circular border. The back disc is very worn with incomplete rough edges and is smaller than the front disc. It is unclear whether a pattern existed on this disc. The object is in fair condition.
