An incomplete post-Medieval cast lead four part Charles II or James II alnage cloth seal (1662-c. 1701). Disc 2 and disc 3 survive and are joined by a misshapen integral connecting strip. Disc 2: OF ENG/LAND; Charles II type bust facing left Disc 3: Fleur-de-lis with 1 to left and ½ to right The seal is in poor condition and the majority of the surfaces have a buff patina. A slightly misshapen post-Medieval cast lead-alloy cloth seal from the Low Countries (16th to 17th century AD). The seal probably originated in Turnhout (modern Belgium). This upper disc is sub-circular and the upper surface depicts a figure of St Peter standing facing right holding a large key in the left hand. The key in the right hand and part of the legend are missing due to being 'off-flan'. Partial inscription: S[ ]NT/[ ]. A complete post-Medieval cast lead cloth seal with the remains of cloth. A two-part seal: Disc 1: [ ]ARSE/ERGEI (or T) within a beaded circle. Disc 2: 37 (scratched). The joining strip is intact and disc 2 is much larger than disc 1. Between the discs and joining strip a fibrous brown material, the remains of cloth, can be seen. Disc 1 has a raised design consisting of a crenelated building with an arched doorway and portcullis. Within the doorway there is a letter: 'C or G'. Chevrons above and below the door. A complete post-Medieval two-part cast lead cloth seal. The two discs are joined together by a rectangular joining strip (5.0 x 4.6mm). Both discs have a raised design. Disc 1: Mostly illegible, part of the design survives. Disc 2: Within a circular beaded border, a tower of two storeys. The lower storey has an arched doorway and the upper storey has an arched window. The tower is flanked on either side by an open crown.
