An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval cast lead cloth seal (c. 1450-c. 1550). The design on both faces is raised. One face has a crowned royal arms and the other face has a triple stranded cross with a mullet and 'annulet' in one quadrant. Length: 18.50mm; width: 12.64mm; thickness: 3.44g. Weight: 3.94g. The seal has a buff patina overall. No analogy found. However, compare with Egan 1994: 56, ref: 110. Egan: 2001, in Saunders (ed), 'Salisbury Museum Medieval Catalogue Part 3', 50, fig. 19, ref: 8; 56-60, figs. 21, 22, refs: 43, 44, 63, 64, 72 and 77.

An incomplete cast lead-alloy object, possibly part of a cloth seal. The front has a raised cross pommée and the rear face has an integral 'butterfly clip'. There is a buff patina overall. Height: 18.81mm; width: 13.04mm; thickness: 6.19mm. Weight: 3.89g.

A complete and worn cast lead cloth seal with a joining strip. Disc 1: King facing, on ship and wielding a sword; rose on side of hull. Disc 2: plain with rivet head. 24.9 x 17.6 x 3.2mm. Weight: 6.69g. Geoff Egan has commented that it is apparently a new medieval type. It seems to have the basic sword-wielding king in ship-of-state as on the late medieval gold coinage, and the rose on the side of the hull may point specifically to Edward IV's ryal (aka 'rose noble') of 1464/5-70. Complete cast lead cloth seal of fourteenth to early sixteenth century date (AD 1300 – AD 1525). Length 20mm, diameter of discs about 14mm. Weight 6.95g. The seal is a two part seal with sprue attached. The impressions on both discs are vague and not easily identifiable. Disc 1 has an unidentifiable image above roman-style lettering and disc 2 has a small cross pommee below which is a blackletter initial, probably standing for the place of origin. Incomplete circular lead cloth seal (an inner disc) of early sixteenth century date. Part of the top and the bottom of the seal are broken and missing (old breaks). Diameter 36mm and 1.5mm thick. Weight 10.16g. The obverse side was probably decorated but is very worn and illegible. The reverse side has a long T over M surrounded by a laureate. Within the plain border is the inscription, “]FIDELIT[ ]OVIERT[“. The seal is in a fragile condition.
