Post Medieval lead sack seal, c.AD 1500-1700. This is an incomplete circular seal with two circular discs pressed together and the base of a folded attachment loop. The obverse has a pineapple with a plume on top in relief. The reverse has a central circular depression, over which is an A in relief with an annulet above, below, and to each side. See DUR-D86482 for a similar example.

An incomplete Medieval lead alloy alnage seal, c.AD 1636-1700. This seal has only a fragment of one face, on which is depicted in relief a three masted sailing ship under full sail. The only parts of the ship that is preserved are the side of the ship with four gun openings, the central mast and sail with rigging, and a wooden balcony around the stern. The ship appears to be a galleon or man o'war style ship, with its carefully depicted multi level decks. The sails are square, but only one set of sails is visible on each mast, ruling out a later clipper style ship. …

A cloth seal folded over on one end and ripped at the other end on one face. The obverse face features a stamp of a shield; this shield bears a sword in the centre, pointing down and flanked by two stars on both sides. No inscription remains. The reverse face appears to have a smaller piece of lead pressed into the face, obscuring any possible designs or inscriptions. This smaller piece has a circle stamped on it. No inscription remains.

An almost complete cast lead cloth seal. Probably eighteenth or nineteenth century. The seal is a two-disc seal with a complete connecting strip. Disc 1: 100 (stamped) with 45 below (inscribed) // (on rivet) 45 (inscribed). The seal has a buff patina overall and the edges of both discs are broken in places.

An incomplete cast lead cloth seal, probably issued during the reign of Queen Anne. This disc was probably part of a four-disc seal from the series featuring a monarch's head. As Egan (1994, 60) states, the relief designs on these alnage seals are characterised by fine detail resulting from well-engraved dies. The disc bears a female bust facing left, that of Queen Anne surrounded by the inscription: FIDEI DEFEN (Defender of the Faith). A complete but damaged cast lead cloth seal of Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1500 – c. AD 1650). Diameter: 21.7mm; thickness: 3.7mm; weight: 6.72g. A two-disc seal with a connecting strip. This cloth seal is corroded and worn. Consequently, it is difficult to determine the design on each face. However, it is probably a seal of Augsburg in Germany where fustians (mixed linen-warp and cotton-weft fabrics) were produced. [Pine-cone] (possibly) // ornate A with a chevron bar. The pine-cone is the heraldic badge of the city of Augsburg. Examples are illustrated in Egan 1995.

A complete and misshapen cast lead cloth seal, probably of late seventeenth to eighteenth century date c. AD 1675 - c. AD 1800). Length: 39.0mm; width: 26.9mm; thickness: 5.7mm; weight: 16.67g. The seal is of two discs with an adjoining strip. Disc 1: moulded 8-pointed star Disc 2: (rivet head) inscribed numerals: 92 above a horizontal line and 43 (or 47) below.

One side has a the remains of a beaded circle, but due to wear, no other detail is visible. The opposite side has a textile impression. The seal has a buff patina overall.

An incomplete cast lead cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. Probably sixteenth to eighteenth century. Length: 19.6mm; width: 17.8mm and 4.0mm thick. Wight: 3.66g. The seal consists of part of one disc and the rivet head. The rivet head has a raised letter W with curving raised lines below. The rear face of the incomplete disc has traces of a textile impression. Buff patina and old breaks. A similar cloth seal with a letter W is illustrated by Egan (Egan 1994, 84, fig. 32, ref. 236). This example is dated ?sixteenth to eighteenth century.

A incomplete cast lead probable cloth seal of probable seventeenth century date (AD 1600 - AD 1700). Diameter: 18.1mm. Weight: 2.06g. The disc has a raised design on one side consisting of beaded circle containing a figure 8 (or possibly a letter B) with a possible date below: 8 [?]/16?? Around the outside of the circle there are traces of an inscription which is severely worn and indeterminate. The other side of the disc is rough and plain. A complete cast lead circular cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. Length: 33.0mm; diameter: 25.0mm and 4.3mm thick. Weight: 12.83g. A two part seal joined together by a connecting strip which has a width of 4.8mm. Disc 1: illegible. Disc 2: raised capital letters : S F over woolsack (on rivet head). - (illegible)//S F. Textile survives between discs. Woolsacks are always a late (C18th) symbol on cloth seals (unless they are actually dyers' madderbags from the early C17th).

An incomplete cast lead circular cloth seal of Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1714 – c. 1727). Diameter: 15.5mm and 0.6mm thick. Weight: 1.67g. An incomplete disc 2 of a four-part alnage seal. Raised head of George I right with raised inscription around: GEORGIVS REX all contained within a raised rope-work circle. Part of the disc is missing due to an old break. Missing //head of George I right//missing//missing A similar cloth seal has been recorded from the Thames at Steelyard, London (Egan 1994, 67, fig. 27, ref. 154).

One side of the disc has a moulded beaded circle containing a design, now illegible due to corrosion and damage. This seal is fractured and in poor condition.
