An incomplete post-Medieval lead alloy four-part cloth seal (c. 1665). Two discs are missing. The surviving two discs are joined by a rectangular connecting strip. One disc has a raised design, a merchant's mark: PW ligated with the legend 'DORSET' surrounding. A six-pointed star at either side of P. The other disc has a raised design, two lions passant guardant left, one above the other with 65 below. This cloth seal has a dark buff patina. Length: 18.0mm; width: 14.1mm; thickness: 3.0mm. An incomplete post-Medieval lead alloy two-disc cloth seal (c. 1500-c. 1650). The seal is formed by two circular discs, one with a hole in the centre and the other with a stud protruding. These discs are joined by an integral connecting strip which is folded in half so the discs over-lay each other, and the stud protrudes through the hole. The seal is then stamped on the discs creating a design on both faces. A complete but damaged post-Medieval lead alloy two part cloth seal (c. 1600-c. 1700). This seal is formed by two discs joined by a rectangular tab. One disc had an integral projecting rivet on the inner side, the other a hole through the centre. (The rivet went through the cloth, through the other seal and was stamped flat to hold the seal to the cloth). The front disc has raised capital letters: SS/BAH. The other disc is plain. The seal is grey with traces of a buff patina. Length: 21.4mm; width: 17.2mm; thickness: 4.8mm. Weight: 4.82g.

A post-Medieval lead cloth seal of early 18th-century date (1702-1714). The object consists of two sub-circular discs (there may originally have been four) joined by a folded connecting strip from the series featuring a monarch's head. One disc bears a female bust facing left, that of Queen Anne (1702-1714) with the legend MAG BRI ET DEI (possibly).
