A cast lead cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. Late sixteenth or very early seventeenth century (c. AD 1550 - c. AD 1605). Disc 1 Burred over rivet head: Portcullis with surrounding placename missing. disc 2: XXV. The 25 (possibly incomplete) is presumably the pounds weight or the yards length.

Corroded fragment of a cast lead cloth seal of sixteenth century date (AD 1500 - AD 1600). Maximum diameter of central portion 14.0mm, thickness 3.0mm. Weight 3.45g. The fragment is just the central part of a two-part seal. Consequently, only part of the design has survived on each disc. Disc 1: Arms of England in raised relief. Disc 2: Cross in raised relief. Complete cast lead two disc cloth seal of probable seventeenth century date (AD 1600 – AD 1700). Length 24mm. Both discs are about 18mm in diameter. Maximum thickness 4mm. Weight 6.03g. Disc1, with an integral rivet at the rear, is slightly convex at the front and has a “spontaneous” design of four incised linear grooves that form six sub-rectangles. Disc 2 is flat and has a central aperture through which the rivet of disc 1 passes. The rivet is burred over. It is in fair condition.

Disc 2: Worn design, possibly an elaborate three-towered castle. The seal is very worn, in poor condition and disc 1 is fractured. Complete cast lead cloth seal of fourteenth to early sixteenth century date (AD 1300 – AD 1525). Length 20mm, diameter of discs about 14mm. Weight 6.95g. The seal is a two part seal with sprue attached. The impressions on both discs are vague and not easily identifiable. Disc 1 has an unidentifiable image above roman-style lettering and disc 2 has a small cross pommee below which is a blackletter initial, probably standing for the place of origin. Incomplete 2 disc lead cloth seal of Post Medieval date (1625 - 1650). Seal for Norwich worsted. Diameter 15mm. Weight 93g. The piece consists of disc 1 with a moulded impression of a three drum tower with a lion passant guardant below (arms of Norwich). The reverse side of the disc has a cloth impression and the remains of a rivet upon which is a letter W with a letter I above, part of a jumble of initials in the manner of those illustrated in Egan, G. 1995, refs. 81-5. A seal for Norwich worsted.

A two disc seal: Disc 1: (with rivet) surviving design appears to be a portion of a foliated stem as part of a privy mark. Disc 2: two crudely executed letters, possibly a lower case P and an upper case K. The seal, now in two pieces, was joined together when found.

The cone is formed on the flattened face of the rivet. The pine-cone is the heraldic badge of the city of Augsburg.

Incomplete circular lead cloth seal (an inner disc) of early sixteenth century date. Part of the top and the bottom of the seal are broken and missing (old breaks). Diameter 36mm and 1.5mm thick. Weight 10.16g. The obverse side was probably decorated but is very worn and illegible. The reverse side has a long T over M surrounded by a laureate. Within the plain border is the inscription, “]FIDELIT[ ]OVIERT[“. The seal is in a fragile condition.

Cast lead cloth seal. Disc 2 and disc 3 of a four disc seal. Both discs are about 12mm in diameter with an integral folded attachment lug, about 3mm in length and 3mm in width. Disc 2. This side is very worn but has been identified by Geoff Egan as being a "OF ENG LAND" Charles II type head seal (possibly James II). A beaded circlet enclosing the head is just discernable. Disc 3.
