An incomplete cast lead two-part cloth seal of early/mid seventeenth century date, Norfolk/Norwich issue (c. AD 1600 - c. AD 1650). Length 22.2mm, width 20.0mm and 1.7mm thick. Weight 3.84g.
The circular disc is disc 1 of a two-part seal. A small portion of the connecting strip has survived. The front has moulded capital letters in three lines: TO/NAR-/W-. The complete lettering would probably have been: TO/NARO/WE, indicating that the cloth was narrower than the regulation stipulated by the system of quality control known as Alnage.

A complete and damaged Modern two-part lead cloth seal of the War Department relating to the Army Clothing Factory at Pimlico, London (c. 1857-c. 1932).
This cloth seal has two discs connected by a joining strip at the edge (now broken) and held together by a rivet at the centre.
Disc 1: Incuse scratch marks, probably 441/4
Disc 2 Two stamped concentric circles: W (broad arrow) [D] at centre; PIM[LICO] within circles
Coarse brown fibres are present between the discs.
Both discs are fractured and both have a greyish brown matt patina.

The design on both faces is raised. One face has a crowned royal arms and the other face has a triple stranded cross with a mullet and 'annulet' in one quadrant.
Length: 18.50mm; width: 12.64mm; thickness: 3.44g. Weight: 3.94g.
The seal has a buff patina overall.
No analogy found. However, compare with Egan 1994: 56, ref: 110.

A complete post-Medieval cast lead disc, probably from a four-part seal (c. 1700-c. 1750).
This disc has part of a connecting strip.
One side has a unicorn rampant left with 3 to left. The reverse possibly has a head/bust facing left which may be that of Queen Anne or George I.
It has a buff patina.
Height: 17.31mm; width: 16.87mm; thickness: 0.82mm. Weight: 1.69g.
Similar cloth seals have been published (Egan in Saunders 2001: 62, ref: fig. 23. ref: 102; Egan 1994: 69, fig. 28, ref: 164).

A slightly misshapen post-Medieval cast lead-alloy cloth seal from the Low Countries (16th to 17th century AD). The seal probably originated in Turnhout (modern Belgium).
This upper disc is sub-circular and the upper surface depicts a figure of St Peter standing facing right holding a large key in the left hand. The key in the right hand and part of the legend are missing due to being 'off-flan'. Partial inscription: S[ ]NT/[ ].
The inner face has a central rivet stub which is surrounded by an imprint of textile.

Between the discs and joining strip a fibrous brown material, the remains of cloth, can be seen.
This seal is grey and is partially covered with a buff patina.
