The front of the disc has a raised design consisting of a crowned letter Lombardic N or H within a beaded circle. At the reverse there is a rivet. Both faces have traces of a buff patina. At the rear there is a cloth impression Diameter: 14.7mm; thickness: 2.3mm. Weight: 1.31g.

A complete post-Medieval cast lead alloy cloth seal (c. 1500-c.1700). This two-part cloth seal has a rectangular connection strip, 3.8 x 3.1mm. Disc 1: has integral rivet and the face has a raised design consisting of a pair of shears, a pair of tongs and a pair of gloves within a beaded circle forming a border. Disc 2: has a raised design consisting of a privy mark, WH within a beaded circle forming a border. Both faces have traces of a buff patina. Height: 18.7mm; diameter: 15.1mm; thickness: 3.64mm. Probably related to the weight or length of cloth. Disc 2: Raised design within a circular beaded border. Possibly ligated letters. The rectangular connecting strip measures 8.1 x 4.6 x 2.7mm. Both discs have traces of a buff patina. Disc 2 has a small break at the edge. 27.1 x 20.5 x 4.4mm. Weight: 7.01g. The weight may include soil between the discs.

A fragment of a post-Medieval lead cloth seal of early 18th-century date (1702-1714). The surviving disc with joining strips/tabs was probably part of a four-disc seal from the series featuring a monarch's head. As Egan (1994, 60) states, the relief designs on these alnage seals are characterised by fine detail resulting from well-engraved dies.
