A single lead disc from a cloth seal of probable post-Medieval date. One side has a raised design consisting of a letter W with a flourish or tendril/foliage at either side and smaller letters below: [ ]ARN[ ]. All letters are capitals and the letters below are smaller. The rear face is plain with a rivet stub. The seal is buff. Length: 18.4mm; width: 15.6mm; thickness: 2.4mm. Weight: 3.14g.

A post-Medieval lead cloth seal of early 18th-century date (1702-1714). The object consists of two sub-circular discs (there may originally have been four) joined by a folded connecting strip from the series featuring a monarch's head. One disc bears a female bust facing left, that of Queen Anne (1702-1714) with the legend MAG BRI ET DEI (possibly). An incomplete post-Medieval four part Charles II or James II alnage cloth seal (c. 1662-c. 1700). This single disc is moulded at the front, flat and plain at the rear. An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval cast lead cloth seal (c. 1450-c. 1550). The design on both faces is raised. One face has a crowned royal arms and the other face has a triple stranded cross with a mullet and 'annulet' in one quadrant. Length: 18.50mm; width: 12.64mm; thickness: 3.44g. Weight: 3.94g. The seal has a buff patina overall. No analogy found. However, compare with Egan 1994: 56, ref: 110. A complete post-Medieval cast lead disc, probably from a four-part seal (c. 1700-c. 1750). This disc has part of a connecting strip. One side has a unicorn rampant left with 3 to left. The reverse possibly has a head/bust facing left which may be that of Queen Anne or George I. It has a buff patina. Height: 17.31mm; width: 16.87mm; thickness: 0.82mm. Weight: 1.69g. Similar cloth seals have been published (Egan in Saunders 2001: 62, ref: fig. 23. ref: 102; Egan 1994: 69, fig. 28, ref: 164).
