Complete post medieval lead cloth seal formed of two discs doubled over. Obverse face has the words WOR/STED/[.]EFOR[.]/MED stamped on to it. The reverse has the number 4 on it with possibly a T and a foliate design that surrounds them. The two halves are joined by a tab and had been riveted together through the reverse side.

Fragment of a post medieval, square, lead cloth seal. The lozenge shaped seal has a central circular field containing a TC monogram surrounded by the legend LON [..]H[.]. The reverse of the seal is blank. There is a small section of damage to one corner where the rest of the seal would have been attached but has now broken away.

Fragment of a post medieval, lozenge shaped, lead cloth seal. Seal consists of one part of a four part folded seal, it has the remains of the tab attaching it to the second part of the seal obverse, and the tab where the seal would have been folded over. The obverse design is lettering, [...]/HD/WHS. The seal is in poor condition with pitting and distortion to the lead.

Fragment of post medieval, 16th-17th century, rectangular, lead cloth seal, AD.1575-1650. This is a part of a cloth searchers seal with HE/TD surrounded by SEACHED with roman numerals XX/ XVIII. This is the front of a two part seal produced from a standard mould and stamped by the individual searching the cloth. See Egan 1994 No.119 for a parallel.

This is a uniface seal that has been stamped with a crowned Lombardic F surrounded by a legend. Much of the legend is now missing but it would likely have contained the county.

These seals are typically used by the Dutch immigrant clothworkers and this type is similar to ones produced in Norwich. The object has been formed by stamping a tube of lead, thus flattening it, with the the roman numerals LII, for 52. it is suggested that these numbers refer to the length of cloth in yards.

Fragment of a post medieval, late 16th-18th century, rectangular, lead cloth searchers seal, AD.1575-1800. This is a rectangular two part seal though half is missing and only part of the obverse remains. The seal is stamped with two sets of roman numerals, XVIII and XVIIII below. There is some space left for the seal of the searcher though hthis is missing. The rivet remains on the reverse of the seal and indicates that the seal has been used.

Complete post medieval, late 18th-19th century, lead cloth packers seal AD.1750-1900. This is a two part circular seal, the obverse has a central S with [...]PACKER around. Originally the packer's name would have been stamped around the outside of the obverse though the seal is quite worn and it is no longer visible. The reverse of the seal has a scratched design on it in the form of NON or ZOZ depending on how it is read, the last Z is smaller and has a short horizontal line above it. The obverse of this seal, has the NOR/WIC/H stamped on it while the reverse contains the letters HDR/1657/[B]CSP/KL. A Post Medieval lead alloy cloth seal dating 16th - 18th century. This is a clothworker's personal seal. The seal is formed of two discs with a connecting strip and integral rivet on one of the discs connecting the two. The rivet is visible on the decorated disc. The cloth seal has a bird standing facing left with initials either side of the bird, T on the left in front of chest and S on the right above tail. The undecorated disk has marks scratched onto it possible the number four.

A Post Medieval lead alloy Cloth Seal dating from the 17th century. The seal is formed of two discs with a connecting strip and integral rivet on one of the discs connecting the two. The rivet is visible on the reverse of the disc in the form of a raised oval. The cloth seal is a London Dyers' Company seal. The obverse has RW / CH in quarters of foliated cross, and the reverse has a 'P' within a beaded circle, with []OT[]around. Egan (1994, No 272 Fig.36 and No.269*, Fig.35) has similar cloth seals.

Incomplete post medieval lead alloy cloth seal, dated AD1684. The seal consists of two discs that are connected by a lead tab, they have been folded over so that they are back to back. The lack of a connecting rivet and the jagged breaks on corresponding edges of the discs suggests that a little over half the seal remains with another two discs connected by the rivet missing. On one side of the seal is a central circular field with the letters T N with a 3 above, surrounding is the legend * GLOSTER [..L..16]84 The edge of the seal is damaged but what remains does suggest a date of AD …
