Complete post medieval, 17th century, lead cloth seal, of Norwich Castle, formed of two discs doubled over. Obverse has the letters RW with the date 163[.] above and an escallop below. Reverse is a depiction of a castle. While the initials on seals of this type are normally those of the mayor, there are no mayors listed in the 1630s with the initials RW. The two known mayors with these initials are Sir Robert Wood AD.1578, and Sir Roger Weld AD.1599. This would suggest the initials are not those of a mayor but perhaps another official.

Large circular Post Medieval, 16th -17th century, lead alloy cloth seal, AD.1590-1700. The seal has a central design of two crowns, one above the other with a foliate design that fills the surrounding void. The top crown has a cross that protrudes into the surrounding legend. Legend reads, DVBLE CRON RASH. The term 'Rash' refers to a type of smooth cloth. The edges of the seal are smooth and there appears to be no way of attaching the seal to a cloth perhaps suggesting that the seal was used in some way as a token or souvenir.
