A Post Medieval lead alloy seal (late 16th - 17th century). This is a one part seal with a hole horizontally for attachment by tape or string. A Post Medieval lead alloy four-part cloth seal dating to the end of the 16th century. Disc one includes the integral rivet. The stamped rivet has the lettering "SER/CHED" still legible. Disc two is the first inner disc and shows an animal, possibly horse, with raised fore leg and the letters PH. Complete Post Medieval lead alloy St Petersburg bale (or bag) seal dated 1804. The bifaced seal has been cast with a raised legend on both sides. The letters are a mixture of the Roman and Cyrillic alphabet, and are roughly arranged in short lines to fit inside the circular plan. One side features the initials SPB that denote the token’s origin in St Petersburg; below it are the letters ABR that suggest the seal was for a bale of zabrak, or low quality flax, and below these the date 1804. Complete Post Medieval lead alloy Russian bale (or bag) seal of unknown origin, 1750 - 1800. The unifaced seal has been cast with a raised legend on one side and an undecorated reverse. The legend is in the Cyrillic alphabet and does not contain the St Petersburg initials SPB or any other readily decipherable information. The cloth seal has been cast with a raised privy mark on the obverse of the initials R S separated by a cruciform shape with crosslets on each arm. There remain traces of what may have been a circular pellet border around this entire design. The find consists of a two-part cloth seal with one complete disc with an internal rivet, and an incomplete disc that would have had a central pierced hole. A Post Medieval lead alloy incomplete cloth seal dating to 1650. This is a two disc cloth seal with one side reading "[W]ORST/E[]DREF/[O]RMED/[1]650). Only a fragment remains of the other side and that reads "[-]XV[-]". Seals for Norfolk worsteds had two discs. A Post Medieval lead alloy cloth alnage seal dating 1707-1714. This is a two disc seal with connecting tab. Side 1: Crown over triple rose, flowering plant motifs to sides. Side 2: Shield with arms of post 1707-Union Britain, Garter with motto HONI SOIT QVI MAL Y PENSE around, surmounted by crowned helmet having lion passant on, with mantling, and supported by lion and unicorn. A Post Medieval  colth seal  dating to 1571 AD. This type of seal with the rivets and corresponding holes went on each newly woven textile. This exampe is from a  Dutch-immigrant community Colchester seal. The inscription reads: DUYT(S) (?7)O CRUI(S) / (BAY)E VA(N) / (C)OLCESTER /(1)57(1) - ie 'Dutch seventy [refers to warp thread-count]  cross [refers to weave - ??twill] bay [cf. baize] of Colchester [founded] 1571.'  Geoff Egan notes that the use of Dutch suggests a first-generation immigrant milieu. These particular seals are so far only known from London.
