The seal is decorated with an ornate shield with three crowns above a Tudor rose all within a pelleted border and with inscription around []D . 100 . A Post Medieval lead alloy Cloth Seal dated AD 1592. This is a cloth worker's personal seal. The seal is formed of two discs with a connecting strip and integral rivet on one of the discs connecting the two. The rivet is visible on the obverse of the disc in the form of a flat oval. The seal has a privy mark 4 with of initials RH and date 15 92 either side of the central stem of the privy mark. A similarly marked cloth seal is in Egan (1995:85 No. 241) and a similar cloth seal on the database is LON-193E2F. The reverse has the number 44 scratched by hand, probably donating the weight.…

A Post Medieval lead alloy cloth seal dating from AD 1600-1620. This is one disk from a four-disc cloth seal. A similar seal is illustrated in Elton (2017:303). The obverse has the Arms of the town of Wesel, an ornate shield bearing three weasels courant, central inescutcheon, MEMENTO.MORI around. The reverse is blank and undecorated.
