A complete lead-alloy Cloth Seal of Medieval to Post-Medieval date (1350-1800). The object is a two-disc seal. The seal is circular in plan and comprises two equal sized lead discs linked by a recurved rectangular tab. One face has a punched inscription reading I F. The other face has the punched initials O H.
Length: 32.91mm, Width: 18.94mm, Thickness: 2.89mm, Weight: 6.6g
The metal is cram in colour with a predominantly smooth patina.

The larger disc has an integral rivet which has been pushed through a hole on the smaller disc before being stamped. One side is plain. The other side has the stamped initials "LL"

An incomplete post medieval lead Dutch cloth seal from the city of Haarlem, dating to the 17th century. The seal is a two-disc type, missing the outer portion of both discs. Disc 1 bears a moulded shield with the city arms: sword erect, four mullets to sides, cross potent in chief. This would probably have originally had a surrounding legend [HAERLEMS GOET] (Goods from Haarlem). Disc 2 has the numerals 19 in the centre referring to the measured length of the piece in Dutch ells.

An incomplete lead Post Medieval cloth seal, probably dating from AD 1575 - 1700. The seal is two discs of lead joined together through an integral rivet on one disc is passed through a hole on the other and squashed flat when the seal was stamped. The stamped surface has the raised design of HZ the Z being placed across the cross bar of the H. The reverse has the personal seal of an individual scrated across the surface in two lines. A complete lead or lead alloy Cloth Seal of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The object is a two part cloth seal, the object is circular in plan, and consists of two circular discs pressed together with a recurved rectangular tab connecting the two. Both faces have a stamped design, one face depicts an outer pelleted border with a probable letter W, the opposing face is heavily abraded and indecipherable.
The metal is cream in colour with a predominantly smooth patina.

An incomplete Post Medieval lead food label.
The object has a circular main disc. A small rectangular tab extend from this disc before ending in an abraded break. On one side of the disc are the remains of a flattened rivet. On the opposite surface is the raised Hebrew letter looking like an N.
The cloth seal is an off white colour.
The object is 15.8mm in diameter, 19.8mm long including the tab, 4.4mm thick and weighs 4.58 grams.

An incomplete, two-disc lead alloy cloth seal, dating to c.AD.1350-1724. The seal consists of two sub-circular discs, connected by a rectangular tab at its apex. One of the discs has an integral rivet extending though to the reverse of the other and features moulded ring around the numerals 'XXII'. The other face may have had a central linear design, which is indiscernible due to the rivet break but the lower potion appears to have incorporated a cross. The seal is a off-white-grey colour.

An incomplete lead Cloth Seal of Post-Medieval date (AD 1671). The object is composed of with two sub-circular discs with a rectangular tab attaching the two discs. The tab is incomplete due to old abraded breaks around the outer flan of the disks. This tab would have allowed the sealing cord to pass through the seal and attach it to the bale of cloth.
Both faces of the seal are heavily abraded however some of the design is legible. On face is illegible. The other face retains its motif which reads: SA[I?]//1671//●[rose] ●
The metal is a dark cream in colour.

A complete post medieval to modern lead bag seal.The seal is discoidal with one edge flattened, in the centre of this edge is a rectangular slot. This slot is mirrored on the opposite side, suggesting it goes all the way through the seal. One side is decorated with raised crossed lines and a crescent, The other side has an inpressed R with a pellet above. The seal is a white grey colour. The seal measures 19.7mm by 17.3mm, is 4.3mm in thickness and weighs 10.55g. Other similar bag seals on the database have been recorded dating from the 17th- 19th century.

An incomplete lead post medieval cloth seal, dating from c. AD 1500-1700. The seal consists of two discs that have been pressed together, On one side the seal is decorated with a raised motif, possibly depicting the number 4. This disc is circular with one edge projecting in a triangular shape, ending in a worn break. The other disc is worn and broken, missing the edges. The seal is a cream colour with patches of grey and white. It measures 20.9mm in length, 19.2mm in width, 3.1mm in thickness, and weighs 4.33g.

An incomplete lead alloy cloth seal from the Post Medieval period. Just under half of the seal is missing. A squirrel sitting upright holding a nut is stamped into one side perhaps resting on a branch, beneath this are the initials I.S. On the other side is an R and above it a crown containing two pellets. There are two horizontally placed pellets next to the R.
A similar cloth seal can be found on the PAS database: NMS-692F70.
The cloth seal weighs 5.53g, has a thickness of 2.97mm thick, is 28.20mm long and 18.78mm wide.

An incomplete post medieval lead cloth seal dating to c. AD 1500-1715. The seal consists of one disc, with a slight projection on one edge for attachment. The outer face of the disc is decorated with a double rose, surrounded by a border of pellets. Part of the edge of the disc is missing. On the reverse of the disc is a long triangular shaped projection, it is very worn and was possibly decorated. The reverse has vertical and horizontal incised lines or scratches on. The seal measures 22.6mm in length, 19.1mm in width, 4.1mm in thickness, and weighs 3.89g.
