Incomplete post-medieval lead cloth seal. Only disc one with its integral rivet survives. The front is stamped with the arms of Haarlem: A sword erect between four mullets a cross potent in chief, on an ornate shield within a circular border, all in relief. The edges are deformed and the legend is illegible. The rivet bears the number 19 in stamped relief. A close parallel on this database is NMS-8EE8EA. 17th century. Diameter: 25.8mm. Thickness: 4.2mm. It is now very broadly rectangular. One face bears part of the stamped image of a castle, oriented obliquely, with a letter N to the right. The face of the impressed disc is decorated with a crowned portcullis within a damaged, incomplete and now illegible inscription. The reverse is blank. Diameter 27mm. 4mm thick. Weighs 9.63g.
