One disc of a postmedieval lead cloth bale seal, bearing the simple obverse legend 'F B'; the reverse is blank. The disc is circular, with a thickness of 2mm, a diameter of 19mm, and a mass of 4.1g.

Cast lead-alloy inner disc from a four-part cloth seal, dating from the first quarter of the 17th century into the early 18th century (c. 1625-1725). The disc is circular with a flat sub-rectangular cross section; the edges are slightly bevelled. A small rectangular projection or tab extends from one edge, now folded back upon itself and broken (recent unpatinated break). The front has a cast relief design of a winged female (an angel) with arms extended.
