One side is stamped with a crown with 2 above within a beaded boarder. Crowns are a common motif on cloth seal of the Post-Medieval period. One face of the object has a moulded letter A, for the city of Augsburg. The second face has an unclear moulded linear motif. Disc 2 or 3 from a four-part lead cloth seal, diameter 17.3mm, in rather worn condition. Rectangular structure surmounted by a smaller, domed object and supported on four pillars with a cross between the central pair. CAN[ around. This may be a Canterbury seal depicting the shrine of St Thomas (destroyed in 1538). No similar piece was noted by Egan 1987 and none occurs on this database. 15th - early 16th century.

A complete two disc riveted type lead cloth seal of Medieval or post-Medieval date, about AD 1350 - 1700. The seal is a two-disc rivet type. The discs are joined by a connecting strip and there is an integral flattened rivet from one disc, passing through a hole in the other disc. Both faces are worn and there is little surviving decoration or inscription. A design in relief is visible on the flattened rivet. A lead cloth seal of Post-Medieval date, about AD 1350 - 1750. It is probably a two part seal, consisting of two discs, linked by a rectangular strip of lead (now missing). One disk has a central, integral rivet. The seal is closed by folding it in two, passing the rivet on one disc through the perforation on the other and crimping the two together. A lead cloth seal of medieval to post-medieval 14th to 18th century date. The lead seal consists of one flat disc with a rectangular tab projecting, folded over. From this on the obverse is a raised inscription across the disc and reads Y[ ] and beneath [. ]. Creamy grey patina. . Comprising of two flat circular discs, joined at the top by a short rectangular connecting strip. One seal has no decoration and the other is stamped with 5 symbols, letters or numerals. 3 on the top line and 2 beneath. Weight: 4.1g, Diameter: 14.87mm.
