A Post-Medieval lead alloy cloth seal. This is a well worn two disc seal type with a partially present interconnecting strip. On the front disc are the letters M and U, the mark for Malines (Belgium) which produced Brabent cloth. The second disc has a section that has broken apart since its discovery but shows evidence of a staff or crozier. Geoff Egan confirmed this as dating from the 14th century.

A lead cloth seal of probable medieval to post-medieval date. The seal comprises two discs of lead joined together by a folded strip of lead. One disc is larger than the other and both surfaces are flat. The seal is undecorated on both sides. The larger disc has a large rivet that passes through the smaller disc and is then flattened to hold the two halves together. Due to the lack of any diagnostic features it is not possible to date this object any more closely. The metal is a dark greyish-white colour and is worn. The seal is 26.3mm long, 21.3mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 6.4g.

Late Medieval or Post Medieval incomplete two- or four-disc lead cloth seal. Only a fragment of the centre of two discs survive. Two-disc seals were formed of one disc with a raised cone in the centre which was pushed through the cloth and then through a hole in the centre of the second disc. The seal was then stamped across this cone flattening it and riveting the two discs together. This fragement is part of the cone and the upper and lower disc. On the front is stamped an unclear raised design, possibly a merchents privy mark. The back is plain apart from some incised lines. It is 1…

A complete and worn cast lead cloth seal with a joining strip. Disc 1: King facing, on ship and wielding a sword; rose on side of hull. Disc 2: plain with rivet head. 24.9 x 17.6 x 3.2mm. Weight: 6.69g. Geoff Egan has commented that it is apparently a new medieval type. It seems to have the basic sword-wielding king in ship-of-state as on the late medieval gold coinage, and the rose on the side of the hull may point specifically to Edward IV's ryal (aka 'rose noble') of 1464/5-70. Although it is extremely worn, an inscription can be made out surrounding the main device, but i…
