A small corroded cast iron ball, possibly a small cannonball dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1500-1800).
The object is spherical with a rough and pitted surface and corrosion forming prominent lumps on the surface. There is a possible casting seam visible on a small area of the original surface and there is a short lump of corrosion protruding from one point with a mass of corroded metal at the opposite point. The object is heavily corroded.
