A complete iron projectile of Post-Medieval date (AD1600-1700). The object is broadly spherical with a central seam and an uneven surface due to corrosion. This seam may be due to casting or as a result of firing the projectile though there is no clear flattening as a result of impact. The metal is a dark brown in colour with a pitted uneven patina.
