Circular, convex lead alloy button, probably of seventeenth or eighteenth century date. The button has been cast and is of solid construction, with the remains of a looped shank on the otherwise flat reverse. The conical front is decorated with a central nipple from which eight regular three-lined spokes radiate. Between each spoke there are four parallel lines, perpendicular to the spokes. A button of a similar size and construction has been dated to the seventeenth or eighteenth century by Read in his book 'Metal Buttons, c. 900 BC - c. AD 1700' (2005, p. 80, no. 330).

Incomplete post medieval button. The head of the button is spherical, being circular in plan and oval in section. It peaks at the centre of the upper face with an integral nipple. The integral shank is rectangular in section. It flares out to a circular loop, which is now bisected due to damage. The original surface of the button heavily abraded. Small patches survive with a mid green patina, otherwise exposed surfaces are lighter green. Break edges are worn smooth, suggesting damage occurred in antiquity. The button is 10.38mm in diameter, 12.92mm long and weighs 2.89g.

Cast copper alloy disc. The front of the disc is decorated with an animal within a rope work border. The animal is depicted in profile, with the front legs to the left hand side of the disc. The head is turned so that the animal is looking backwards. The creature is life-like, rather than depicted in any stylised form of artwork. It is aproximately 11mm in diameter, and the thickness is unknown. The disc has a pale green-brown patina. The reverse of this disc is unknown, but it is likely to be a Post-Medieval button.
