An incomplete and heavily corroded cast copper-alloy headstud type bow brooch dating to the Roman period, c. 75-175 AD. An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Rosette type dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period, c. 25-60 AD. It demonstrates a semi-circular sectioned stubby-winged head with the remains of the iron pin suspension mechanism still concreted to its reverse face. The bow is 'D' shaped in section and curves extremely tightly in profile, integrally cast at its base with the remains of a circular or triangular rosette of which only a small portion survives.
