The truncation at the upper edge of the fragment is extremely worn, the bow being 'D' shaped in section and extending into a broadly triangular catchplate which demonstrates a rolled back edge and two small sub-oval cutouts. It demonstrates a flat-winged head with a rectangular slot at its midpoint (on its rear face) where the now missing pin and axis bar would have attached. It demonstrates a semi-circular sectioned stubby-winged head with the remains of the iron pin suspension mechanism still concreted to its reverse face.
