An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Colchester derivative double-lugged type dating to the Roman period, c. 43-100 AD. It demonstrates a hemi-spherically sectioned winged head with a rearward facing projecting double-lug at its midpoint, through which the chord, spring and axis-bar still survive intact, though the pin is missing in old damage. The bow is 'D' shaped in section, truncating slightly above its midpoint.
