An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Hod Hill type dating to the Roman period, c. 43-75 AD. It demonstrates a rolled head, bifurcated at its midpoint by a rectangular cut-out for the pin axis bar, which is now missing along with the pin, lower bow and catchplate of the brooch. A very worn and incomplete copper-alloy Roman headstud brooch. It is missing the top of the headloop, most of the pin, the separately cast headstud and the base of the foot due to old breaks. The bow tapers to a rounded worn point and has a central longitudinal ridge with incised zigzag lines running down it. The catch plate is unpierced and has a deep pin rest.

A copper-alloy Roman bow brooch of Colchester type, missing pin and part of the spring. The wings are short and flat and the chord is held by a hook which comes out of the body and is bent forward onto the bow. Three coils of the spring survive. The catch plate is incomplete and the bow has a rounded section. This brooch measures 30.02mm in length and 12.65mm in width.

A copper-alloy foot fragment of a Roman bow brooch, most likely to be of Langton Down or Rosette type. The foot is rectangular in shape and gently flaring towards its terminal. The front face has longitudinal decorative grooves and the back face has the remains of the catch plate. It measures 27.42mm in surviving length and 9.18mm in width.

The surviving brooch is worn and slightly distorted. It measures 70.57mm in length and 11.85mm in width. The wings are short and flat, the hook which held the chord orginally is bent backwards, a stub of the pin survives. The bow has a flattened rounded section and tapers towards the foot. The bow has longitudinal decorative band running down its length.

The upper bow has longitudinal mouldings, with a single transverse groove at the top, and broadens to the mid bow where the side projections also have vertical mouldings. The lower bow has a rounded front and tapers to a small footknob defined by a transverse rib; at the top it has two transverse ribs flanking a concave moulding. The circular section bow is 4mm in diameter, narrowing to about 1.5mm at each end, and forms a short symetrical arch, in size and proportions similar to Hattatt no.220. Surviving length 23.5mm.
