A complete copper alloy Bolster from a Scale Tang Knife, of Medieval to Post Medieval date (AD 1200-1600). The object is rectangular in shape, with a rectangular cross section. The long sides have a central ridge. The short sides each have a rectangular notch removed from the top. The top of the end cap has a rectangular slot cut into it, with slightly diagonal lines. .The base has a sub rectangular central hole. No decoration is present however three linear incisions are located on one of the longer sides, possible due to post depositional processes. The slots would have accommodated…
