A complete cast copper-alloy awl probably of Later Bronze Age date (c.1500-800 BC). The awl is divided into two halves separated by the widest mid-point that is 5.2mm wide and 4.6mm thick. One half is square in cross section and narrows to a point. The other half is rectangular in cross-section and thins to a flat rounded chisel edge that is 3.4mm wide and 1.2mm thick. Copper alloy awl. A cast square-section bar, flattened to a wedge shape at one end, and tapered to a point at the other. This probably served as a double-ended implement, as the ‘blunt’ end would promote the splitting of a handle were it inserted into one; against this suggestion, there appear to be lightly incised lines near the midpoint of the shaft which might approximate to the lower end of a socketed handle. A near complete copper alloy Post-Medieval to Modern cruciform mount. The mount is in the form of a cross crosslet. It is mostly rectangularin cross section although the edges of each arm of the cross are bevelled on their outer surface.  A copper alloy rivet projects 6.3mm from the back of the mount.
