A copper-alloy apothecaries' weight of post-medieval/early modern date (c. 1600-1900). It is square in form and rectangular in cross-section. On one face is a stamped mark of value for one scruple (backwards lombardic letter E with crossbar linking to the top of the upright of a lowercase letter i), flanked to the right by a star; the other face is marked in an identical fashion.
Measurements: 8.5 mm by 8.5 mm, 1.09 g in weight

A cast copper alloy apothecary's weight of post-medieval date. The weight is flat and nearly square with chamfered edges. It measures 15.2mm in length, 13.8mm in width, 5.4mm in thickness and weighs 6.6g. Both faces are stamped with a traditional symbol (2 drachms) and a rose or star.
The presence of the rose/star indicates a date between 1618 to around the 18th century (Biggs 1992, p. 8).
Possible plough damage on one side of the weight.

Post medieval copper alloy apothocary's weight, weighing two scruples. The weight is a circular disc shape. Around the circumference, on either side, are the words 'Two Scruples' at teh top, and 'II * S' at eth bottom. In the centre, on either side, are markings which are too worn to decipher.
