A Post Medieval or Early Modern copper alloy apothecary's weight, likely dating to c. 1700-1850. The weight is square with sligthly bevelled edges. On each face is engraved the symbol for 1 drachm, the apothecary's unit of measure, The symbol can be described as 3i. This type of weight would have been issued in a set. They date from around the 18th century, possibly into the 19th century AD. Comparable to record BERK-120248. It measures 13.1 mm in length, 12.9 mm wide, 3.2 mm thick and weighs 3.6 g.

Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead apothecaries weight. The weight is rectangular with a raised W on one side. It is 14.6mm by 12.6mm by 3.8mm thick; it weighs 5.05 grams. If it has lost weight due to corrosion this may correspond to 5 scipulum (5.7 grams) or 3 dram (5.31 grams). Withers and Withers (1995:65) illustrate a similar weight and suggest it is an apothecaries weight. Biggs (1992:7) discusses these weights in more detail and suggests a 15th to 16th century date.

Complete Post Medieval copper alloy apothecaries weight, dating to the 17th century. It is square in plan and one flat surface of the weight has been stamped with a stylized 'fs' denominating the weight's value of a ½ drachm. The surface of the weight has a dark olive-green patina. The weight measures 9.9mm long, 9.9mm wide and 2.8mm thick. It weighs 1.83 grams. Biggs (1992, 8-9) illustrates the type and dates it to the 17th century.

Complete Post Medieval copper alloy apothecaries weight, dating to the 17th century. The weight exhibits the characteristic symbols of an apothecaries weight. It is square in plan and both flat surfaces of the weight have been stamped with a stylized 'zi' above a rose denominating the weight's value of 1 drachm. The surface of the weight has a dark olive-green patina. The weight measures 12.5mm long, 12.5mm wide and 3.1mm thick. It weighs 3.70 grams. A similar example is illustrated in Biggs (1992), on the top line of page 9, and dated to the 17th century.

Copper alloy apothecaries weight for 2 scruples. Square and flat, stamped on both sides with the traditional symbol for 2 scruples (like a backwards capital E joined to a y with two dots above it). It measure 11.4mm long, 11.6mm wide and is 2.6mm thick. It weighs 2.3grams. This type of weight was in use from 1618 AD to the 19th century.
