An incomplete copper alloy double-hooked dress fastener. The fastener comprises a central, solid, cylindrical body with a large circular hole through the transverse axis. The cylinder tapers slightly towards the flat ends.The surface is decorated with slightly irregular incised rectangular cross hatching. Copper alloy 'female' tag from a pair hooked tags. The tag has a sub-lozenge plate with scrollwork edges and a large rectangular loop at one end. At either side of the rectangular loop are two pierced lugs with a third at the rear for attachment. The centre of the plate is decorated with a foliate design of a central flower surrounded by four small buds arranged in a cross saltire; to either side is a leaf with serrated edges; above and blow is a berry. This artefact dates to the 16th century.

A complete copper alloy Dress Fastener of Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1650). Read's Early Post Medieval Class A Type 1a. The object is a formed of a single piece of copper alloy composed of two eyes, recurved loops at the top of the object oriented with the plan of the body of the hook. The hook is formed by the recurved and flattened centre of the wire. There is some retained gilding. The metal has a dark brown pitted patina. Length: 21.17mm, Width: 14.41mm, Thickness: 1.80mm, Weight: 2.4g.

The hooked element of a hook-and-eye clasp dating to the late 16th or 17th centuries. Description: The hooked clasp has a large square plate with rounded attachment lobes with square collars and a flat forward-curved incomplete hook. The lobes are set either side of the body and opposite end to the hook. Each of these lobes has been pierced and retain iron rivets. The fastener has a shield-shaped plate with trilobed upper terminal each with a perforation, to secure to fastener to an item of dress.
