An incomplete worn cast copper-alloy hooked tag (Read Class E, Type 3) of post-medieval date (c.AD 1500-1700).
Description: The object remains as the broken and slightly distorted lobed openwork circular plate, decorated with an unclear design in a raised circular border. The plate has an integrally cast trapezoid eye and is missing its hook.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval dress fastener (dress hook) dating to c.AD 1500-1600. Read Class E Type 5.
The object is trefoil in form, cast in one-piece with moulded relief and openwork. The trefoil dress hook is rendered with an undecorated Hungerford knot, each running end of the cord terminates with a pellet. Above is a transverse linear plano-convex rod for attachment to an additional dress hook. There is a plain ridged collar at the juncture of the plate and hook. The hook terminates in an old break.

An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy dress fastener hook of Read's Class A, Type 2 (AD 1500-1700).
The object has an sub-oval plate with moulded foliate decoration, with the projection for the hook extending from one of the long edges. The hook is now broken. From the opposite edge is a triangular projection from which extends an incomplete loop; the other two loops are situated at either end of the opposite long edge and are also both incomplete.

An incomplete copper-alloy blunt-hooked dress fastener of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1700. Reads Class A, Type 2.
The main plate is sub-ovate with two complete ovate attachment knops projecting from either side of the outer edges. The remains of a third attachment knop can be seen to the more pointed end of the plate though is lost to worn breaks. The wider end of the plate displays worn projections which would have formed an integral eye.
The upper surface of the plate is decorated with a spray of three flowers bordered by ring and dot motifs.

Description: The body is sub-oval in plan and flat with bevelled edges on one face. There is one remaining triangular attachment loops on one of the sides. There is a mostly missing rectangular hook. Both faces appear to be plain with no discernable decoration. The surface has a patchy dark brown and light green patina with traces of a white metal coating.

A quite corroded Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy clothing fastening loop, dating to c.1550-1700.
One half of a 'hook and eye' fastener type, consisting of a sub-triangular plate of plano-convex form with moulded decoration on the face and two sewing holes adjacent to one another in the centre. The plate terminates with a trefoil of moulded knops at one end and a large curved sub-oval attachment loop at the other. The surface displays a green/brown patina.
Length 26.2mm, width 20.2mm, thickness 2mm and weight 2.9g.
Very similar in design to published record NMS-3CD679.

An incomplete cast copper alloy blunt hooked post medieval dress fastener. The plate has traces of tinning and has engraved foliate decoration in the form of flanking leaves around a central stalk with a trefoil flower, all within a border of punched annulets. There are three flanking drilled attachment loops, one of which is missing and the blunt hook or eye loop at the end has broken off. As Read (2008), 171, number 642. Mid 16th to 17th century.

An incomplete copper-alloy probable Dress Fastener (blunt hook) of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1750). The object is composed of a sub-ovate plate with two, evenly spaced perforated lobes, each with a central circular perforation. The central plate tapers to a rectangular projection which terminates in a transverse break, which would have formed a blunt hook. The upper surface is decorated with an integral motif consisting if an arrow shape with lozenge below, tapering to a rectangular shaft, which extends down the hooked aspect. An incomplete copper alloy hook piece from a hooked clasp and eye fastener. The end of the tapered hook is missing. The object comprises a circular plate, hollowed at the rear, with a trapezoidal loop for attachment at one and the remnant of a tapering hook opposite. The front of the circular plate is decorated with a circular framing ridge at the edge surrounding a motif of a human head in relief. The details of the face are somewhat worn, but it appears to be bearded with wavy hair. It is set with the top of the head towards the hook and the chin towards the loop.

It is a rectangular frame round a rectangular opening. Projecting from one long edge are two prongs, curving away from each other, forming an anchor like double hook. Copper alloy 'male' tag from a pair hooked tags. The tag has a circular plate with the base of a truncated hook at one end. Either side of the hook are two pierced lugs (one is missing) with a third at the rear for attachment. The centre of the plate is decorated with a central harp surrounded by two rows of ropework style concentric rings. This artefact dates to the 16th century. The object is composed a central, solid, cylindrical body with a large circular hole through the transverse axis. The cylinder tapers slightly towards the hook ends. The surface is decorated with deeply incised rectangular cross hatching. At each end of the cylinder projects a short length of an integral drawn wire hook. The hooks are sub-circular in cross section.
