An incomplete silver gilt dress- hook with tear-shaped backplate and scalloped edge, dating to the Post Medieval period, c. AD 1500-1600. At the apex of the tear, a recurving hook is soldered onto the backplate, which would have hooked through the corresponding eye on the opposite dress fitting to hold the item of clothing together. Part of the hook is now missing. The plate is 23.33mm long, 16.65mm wide and 7.16mm thick.
