A cast copper-alloy hooked tag dating to the post-medieval period. The mount has a flat sub-oval body with a small oval knop at the apex. Around the perimeter of the body are four side-loops. The body is decorated with a hollow-dome bearing a human facing-mask and foliage around it. An incomplete blunt-hook extends from the top. A silver loop fastener of 16th century AD date. A silver loop has been formed into one large loop and two smaller ones for attachment to textile. On the front at the centre is an applied disc with knop and filigree ornament. At the centre is a granule within a wire annulet surrounded by seven smaller wire annulets, a wire border. This item seems to be an incomplete Post Medieval silver dressing fitting, made in one plane. The object is sub-triangular in plan, with three larger holes, which almost look like mount fittings, also aligned in the shape of a triangle, but oriented in the opposite way. A copper alloy fastening loop from a clothes fastener, dating from the Post-Medieval period, AD1600-1700. It is formed of wire which has been twisted into three loops, two for sewing the fitting to textiles and a larger loop to take the fastening hook. Copper alloy dress fastener made from sheet metal. Trilobed back-plate with denticulate edges. On to this are fitted three bosses each of which is decorated with twisted 0.5mm diameter wire and applied 1.6mm diameter pellets. A central boss is missing. On the underside of the plate is a wire-like loop 11.0 x 3.2mm the ends of which appear to hold two of the bosses in place. The other boss is held by a separate rivet. Surface retains traces of gilding.

A cast, copper alloy catch plate from a hook and eye dress fastener, dating from 1500-1700AD. The body is oval in shape. At one end is a knop which is pierced for attaching to the clothing. There are two further pierced knops for attachment at the opposite end of the body, one on each side. The tractangular catch loop at the other end has broken off and is missing. Cast copper alloy 'male' tag from a pair hooked tags length 41mm, width 24mm, thickness 2mm, weight 4.784.63g. The tag has a sub-oval plate with a large rectangular hook at one end. Immediately behind the hook are two pierced knops (one missing) with a third at the rear for attachment. The centre of the plate is decorated with a foliate design. This artefact dates to the 16th - 17th century.

Post Medieval copper alloy toggle, The object consists of a solid pointed oval form with a circular section. This is attached to a circular sectioned shaft with a double looped terminal. It is 24mm long, 19mm wide and 8mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 7.76 grams. No similar exmples have been found in datable contexts yet.

An incomplete and corroded early Post Medieval cast copper alloy eye from a dress clasp fastener. The object is sub-oval in shape with three trifoliate attachment knops, one located at the end of the oval and one at either side of the fastener; each knop is pierced by a circular hole. At the other end of the oval there is a rectangular loop, part of the outer frame of which is missing from an old break. A copper alloy hooked tag of Brian Read's Early post-medieval Class A, Type 8. The body is flat, oval and has a recatngular loop at one end with a small circular loop immediately to both sides. Halfway around the periemter on both sides is a small rounded side-knop. The terminal is formed by a small circular loop. The body is decorated with an oval panel bearing possible foliate and floriate motifs within a beaded border. The beaded border contains a reddish coloured paste or enamel within in. Identification supplied by Jim Halliday: The male section of a two part toggle fastener. A cast copper alloy, hollow backed toggle fastener with two rivet holes for the attaching of rivets, one of these rivets remains in place. The thin double collared circular male terminal is rounded and slightly offset to interlock with the open female fitting at the opposite side. This is only one piece of a pair of such fittings, the other is missing. These fittings most likely date from the 15th - 16th Century AD.
