An incomplete copper alloy double-hooked Dress Fastener of Early-Medieval date (AD 700-900). Read 2008 early medieval Class M. The object is composed a central, solid, cylindrical body with a large circular hole through the transverse axis. The cylinder tapers slightly towards the hook ends. An Early Medieval to Medieval copper alloy hooked tag, probably dating to AD 700-1100. The tag consists of a circular plate, with a sharp, rearwards facing hook projecting from the base. There are two circular perforations at the opposite end. The plate is inscribed with decoration depicting an expanding armed cross within a field of radiating lines. A complete copper alloy dress fastener (dress hook) dating to the early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period. The fastener has a shield-shaped plate with trilobed upper terminal each with a perforation, to secure to fastener to an item of dress. At the narrow end of the plate a short, tightly curved hook extends towards the rear of the plate. There is no decoration on either side of the plate. Read's Class D, dating from c. 700 - 1100 AD.

A complete silver dress fastener or 'hooked tag', dating to the Early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period. The fastener has a tear shaped plate and projecting hook from the point of the tear. There are two unevenly aligned punched holes for attachment near the top of the plate.
