An incomplete Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy dress fastener of Read's Class E Type 3, dating to c.1500-1650.
Sub-oval open-work plate with piercings around the outer edge. An old break at the base probably once formed a hooked arm, with a rectangular attachment loop at the opposite end. The face has moulded decoration of two chevrons with possibly a thistle head or similar above. The reverse is plain and flat and the surface displays an even green patina.

A Post Medieval cast copper-alloy dress fastener 'eye piece' of Read's Class A Type 1, dating to c.1500-1650.
Sub-oval plate, domed on the face and concave on the reverse. Three 'sewing holes' protrude from the plate, rounded loops on either side and a pointed loop at one end. At the other end is a larger rectangular loop to accept a blunt hook. The face is decorated with a relief moulded chequered pattern, with the surface displaying a pale green patina.

The dress fastener consists of a rectangular attachment loop, flanked by two smaller circular attachment knops at each of its inner corners. The plate expands to a sub-lozenge form with a double knop at its angle. The opposing end has a circular attachment loop. The dress hook is circular with a rectangular attachment loop. The body of the dress hook has a central equal-armed cross with a raised central pellet within a linear circle. Each quarter has three circular apertures. The edge of the linear circle has a beaded and engrailed edge. The hook at the base is missing due to old breaks. It has a green patina.

The main body of the find is heart-shaped in plan with two small lobes above the heart. The rectangular loop which would have been above the two lobes in order to accept the clasp, is now missing, due to an old break. The upper face of the fastener consists of a central oval plate decorated at the centre with a foliate motif within a plain border.

The object is trefoil in form, cast in one-piece with moulded relief and openwork. The trefoil dress hook is rendered with an undecorated Hungerford knot, each running end of the cord terminates with a pellet. Above is a transverse linear plano-convex rod for attachment to an additional dress hook. There is a plain ridged collar at the juncture of the plate and hook. The hook terminates in an old break.

The main plate is sub-ovate with two complete ovate attachment knops projecting from either side of the outer edges. The remains of a third attachment knop can be seen to the more pointed end of the plate though is lost to worn breaks. The wider end of the plate displays worn projections which would have formed an integral eye.
The upper surface of the plate is decorated with a spray of three flowers bordered by ring and dot motifs.

One half of a 'hook and eye' fastener type, consisting of a sub-triangular plate of plano-convex form with moulded decoration on the face and two sewing holes adjacent to one another in the centre. The plate terminates with a trefoil of moulded knops at one end and a large curved sub-oval attachment loop at the other. The surface displays a green/brown patina.

A complete cast copper alloy, copper alloy dress fastener whose form has been suggested by Read (2008: 104) to date to the early Post-Medieval Period c. 1500 - 1600 AD.
The object is composed of a rectangular tag attachment loop at the top of a flat broadly oval plate. An incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval dress fastener (dress hook) dating to c.AD 1500-1600.
The object is plano-convex, with the decorated face being convex. It is cast in one piece with moulded relief and quatrefoil openwork with a trefoil of pellets. Above the openwork, the hook expands into an integral rectangular loop with a sub-oval aperture. The hook is flat on the reverse, with bevelled edges, gently curved, the tip has broken off and missing. At the junction of the plate and hook is a ridged and ribbed collar.

An incomplete copper-alloy hooked fastener of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 – 1700. Read's Class A, Type 2.
The object is flat and sub-triangular, with a scalloped edge. There are three rounded three attachment loops, one at the narrower end and two at opposite points of the wider end. The remains of a thick rectangular-section hook project from between the loops at the wider end. In between the loops, the sides of the plate each have three ovoid scallops.
