Lead dress hook with a trefoil shaped plate with serrated sides that supports three hemispherical domes. Each dome is decorated with a central boss on the top with four further bosses arranged evenly around the edge. In the centre of the plate is a large pellet that has three radiating ridges that dived the domes. On the reverse is a reward projecting rectangular lead loop, and at the lower edge is an expanded ridge that forms a socket that holds a rearward projecting hook made from a copper alloy pin.

An incomplete cast copper alloy blunt-hooked dress fastener dating to the early post-medieval period (AD 1550-1700). The fastener has an ovoid plate with incomplete decorative 'loop' at the apex and half of the blunt-hook at the opposite end. In the centre is the ovoid plate which is decorated with symmetrical floral designs in moulded relief with the remains of white and blue champlevé enamelling. There are two attachment holes within the plate (currently filled with soil). Similar to those illustrated in Read (2008:180) no. 687 (Class A type 11).

Copper alloy 'female' tag from a pair hooked tags. The tag has a sub-lozenge plate with scrollwork edges and a large rectangular loop at one end. At either side of the rectangular loop are two pierced lugs with a third at the rear for attachment. The centre of the plate is decorated with a foliate design of a central flower surrounded by four small buds arranged in a cross saltire; to either side is a leaf with serrated edges; above and blow is a berry. A complete and well preserved rectangular silver-gilt single sharp-hooked clasp dating to the 16th century, measuring 33.87mm in length and weighing 3.8g. Such items were worn during the Tudor period in order to secure items of clothing. The body of the clasp is cast and decorated with sheeting and wire. It has a four piece, trapezoidal sectioned body, 14.81mm wide, with a front plate comprising three longitudinal rectangular panels. Post Medieval dress hook, c.1550-1670, Read Class A Type 10, cast copper alloy, Oval plate with three integrally cast loops, the eye by which the hook was attached to its counterpart is missing. The face of the hook bears an oval panel of foliate decoration, now obscured by corrosion. Around this is a band of small ovals. Length 34.4mm, Width 21.7mm, Thickness 2.2mm, Mass 6.17g.

Description: One half of a silver gilt clothes fastener dating to the Post-Medieval period, c. 1600-1700. This is the 'looped' half of the full fitting. It is broadly triangular in plan, with a large loop at its apex and six smaller circular apertures evenly spaced around the main body of the object. The body itself demonstrates moulded decoration on its upper surface, the central element being broadly heart-shaped and flanked by two large foliate scrolls that terminate at the base of the object in small knops.
