A complete early post medieval copper-alloy dress fastener, dating to c.AD 1500 - 1625. Read Class E type 3 The dress fastener is cast in one-piece with moulded relief. It has a circular plate decorated with a six-petalled flower with six pellets and a central pellet in the interstices, within a linear border. Above the plate is a wide trapezoidal loop. An incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval dress fastener (dress hook) dating to c.AD 1500-1600. Read Class E Type 5. The object is trefoil in form, cast in one-piece with moulded relief and openwork. The trefoil dress hook is rendered with an undecorated Hungerford knot, each running end of the cord terminates with a pellet. Above is a transverse linear plano-convex rod for attachment to an additional dress hook. There is a plain ridged collar at the juncture of the plate and hook. The hook terminates in an old break. An old break at the base probably once formed a hooked arm, with a rectangular attachment loop at the opposite end.
