An incomplete and heavily worn Post Medieval cast pewter or high tin/lead copper-alloy dress hook c.AD1550-1700.
Description: Class A, type 2 dress hook. The main section has a floral design which has pellets in the field, the dots also appear on the leaves and stem of the flower. The hook has been damaged, likely in antiquity, with the end of the blunt hook missing. There are three rivet holes placed either side of the main plate near the hook end and one at the back end. The reverse is flat and undecorated; the hook is a mid grey colour.

A complete cast copper alloy Post-medieval hooked clasp with engraved decoration. The hook is ovoid in plan with five attachment loops, two on either side and one at the end. At the opposite end there is a rectangular hook The surface is decorated with engraved foliate designs. A very similar example can be seen in Read page 173 n.653.
The hook is 34.6mm long, 24.1mm wide, 1.8mm thick and weighs 4.98 grams.

Silver dress fitting, round, cast in one plane with large projecting loop and two smaller loops, one broken. At centre of the circle on the front is a male bust, wearing a cap, tunic and heavy chain in the manner of English court dress of c 1530-40, possibly intended to represent Henry VIII. Worn, gilded. 16th Century.
