Description: The object remains as the broken and slightly distorted lobed openwork circular plate, decorated with an unclear design in a raised circular border. The plate has an integrally cast trapezoid eye and is missing its hook.

An incomplete and worn cast copper-alloy dress fastener (hook) (Read's Class A, Type 2) of post-medieval date (c.1600-1700).
Description: The body is sub-oval in plan and flat with bevelled edges on one face. There is one remaining triangular attachment loops on one of the sides. There is a mostly missing rectangular hook. Both faces appear to be plain with no discernable decoration. The surface has a patchy dark brown and light green patina with traces of a white metal coating.

A cast, copper alloy artefact, probably a Post Medieval dress fastener or toggle dating from about AD 1600 - 1800. The date and function of objects of this form are debated, it being either a Late Iron Age or Roman cosmetic pestle, or a Post Medieval clothing fastener toggle.
It consists of a rounded body in the shape of a pointed oval, circular in section, from one side of which extends a short, sub-rectangular sectioned shaft ending in a pair of rings positioned side by side. An incomplete copper alloy early post medieval hooked clasp dating to 16th-17th century AD. Class E, type 1. The tag is rectangular shaped. At the top of the clasp there are two semi circular projections, underneath it is openwork, with a large rectangular perforation. Underneath this are two square perforations. The clasp has been bent out of shape, and there is no hook remaining. The clasp has a mid green patina, and measures 20.9mm in length, 13.2mm in width, and weighs 2.36g.
Similar to clasps shown in Read 2008, pages 87-91.

An incomplete copper alloy early post medieval hooked clasp dating to 16th-17th century AD. Class A, type 1. The tag is circular with attachment knops, one on the top of the tag with projecting pellet, and two either side of the hook which is now missing. One of the lower attachment loops is worn and broken. The openwork motif is a six petalled flower bordered by palmettes. The clasp has a mid green brown patina, there is no decoration on the reverse. It measures 37.6mm in length, 31.5mm in width and weighs 7.10g.

The object is composed of a sub-circular central element with a now missing flat rectangular loop at the upper end, small projecting spurs are retained and indicated the looped aspect. An incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy openwork dress clasp, broken at the diagnostic end but an eye piece, based on similar examples (c. 17th century).
The dress fastener comprises a circular moulded openwork plate with seven pellets at the centre, forming a sexfoil flower. This is surrounded by a band of eight circular perforations, three of which have worn through. This is in turn surrounded by a moulded border of alternating pellets and transverse bands. Description: Incomplete medieval or early post-medieval silver mount or dress fastener. One edge has a recessed flange terminating in an old break at one end. The rest of the object consists of a moulded design around a central hole or eye, now incomplete due to old breaks. The decoration appears to comprise two opposed S-shaped tendrils, each terminating in a trefoil. The reverse exhibits traces of parallel grooves indicating the object was cast in a cuttlefish bone mould. The reverse has a single integrally cast rivet with a burred-over end.

A post medieval copper alloy eye clasp dating 16th - 17th century. This eye clasp is made from wires of two different thickness. The thicker gauge wire has been curved round to form the loop of the eye clasp and the two ends are curved back on themselves to form the loops for attachment. There is a thinner gauge of wire "wire seizing" that is wrapped around the narrowed section of the eye clasp between the loop and the sewing loops. All the wire used to make this eye clasp has been flattened.

Description: The object consists of a slightly dished plate, circular in plan, with two rounded and one debased trefoil attachment-knops and a rectangular eye. The front is decorated with a stylised sunburst multi-petalled flower. The reverse is flat and undecorated The object has an underlying pale rust-coloured patina with the decoration showing as grey green.

The dress fastener is cast in one-piece and has a broadly circular plate with a raised cross with a central pellet and a pellet either side at the juncture of the plate and loop. The quadrants have a pit which probably represents unfettling. There is a ridged collar at the junction of the plate and collar. The loop is missing due to an old break. An incomplete copper-alloy blunt-hooked dress fastener of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1700. Reads Class A, Type 2.
The main plate is sub-ovate with two complete ovate attachment knops projecting from either side of the outer edges. The remains of a third attachment knop can be seen to the more pointed end of the plate though is lost to worn breaks. The wider end of the plate displays worn projections which would have formed an integral eye.
The upper surface of the plate is decorated with a spray of three flowers bordered by ring and dot motifs.

Cast copper alloy hooked mount of probable later medieval or post medieval date (1450-1650 AD). The mount is irregular in plan; the main body of the mount is circular with three sub-circular pierced knops projecting from it. The hook is formed from an integral cast sub triangular sheet of metal which has been rolled into a cylinder; this projects at an angle of 90° to the body of the mount.
