A cast copper alloy dress fastener hook piece of post-medieval date. The fastener measures 33.6mm by 16.8mm by 2.2mm and weighs 4g. It has an teardrop-shaped plate with a trapezoidal loop at one end. At the other end there is a small projecting circular loop and there are two further circular loops on each side of the plate, adjacent to the trapezoidal hook. The small holes may have been used for attachment to cloth. The front of the plate has a bevelled edge and traces of silvering or tinning.

An incomplete copper-alloy hasp and clasp fastener of probable 17th century AD date (G. Bailey; 2004; pp. 100). The plate is sub-oval in plan and has three projecting perforated lobes, one at the top and one on each side. The uppermost lobe is incomplete, whilst the other two have small, rounded projections on the ends. A moulded horizontal collar separates the plate from the incomplete hook section. The object is badly corroded. It measures 34.8mm long, 28.3mm wide and 4mm thick. The weight is 5.35g.

A cast copper alloy dress fastener of probable seventeenth century date. The flat oval hook-piece measures 36.5mm by 22mm by 2.3mm and weighs 5.9g. At one end is the stub of the flat hook, which has a smaller circular attachment loop on each side. In the centre of each side there is a rounded knop. At the other end there is a further small circular attachment loop which has a slight rounded knop to each side. A cast copper alloy dress fastener hook-piece of probable seventeenth century date. The fastener measures 36.3mm by 15.8mm by 2.6mm and weighs 3.2g. It has an oval plate with a trapezoidal loop at one end. At the other end there is a small incomplete projecting circular loop and there were originally two further circular loops on each side of the plate adjacent to the trapezoidal hook, although one of these is incomplete. The small holes may have been used for attachment to cloth. The front of the plate has faint moulded floriate decoration and the back in slightly concave.

The body of the dress fastening is an inverted sub-drop in plan with a rectangular loop along the upper edge. Post medieval copper alloy blunt-hooked dress fastener, 34mm long, 16mm wide and 3mm thick. It consists of a domed plate in the shape of a scallop shell, decorated with incised radiating lines. From this projects a rectangular shaft with a rounded end whihc has been made into a forward-facing hook. To either side of the junction between the plate and the hook is a small circular attachment loop; a third projecting loop, at the top of the shell, contains a copper-alloy rivet. Complete hooked tag set comprising both male and female links. The objects were found together in plough soil. Both tags have a heart-shaped openwork frame with a crescentric shoulder at either side. The male tag has a small hook at one end and a T-shaped hook at the other. The female tag has a rectangular loop at one end and a T-shaped hook at the other. The short sides of the rectangular loop are faceted. Both objects are copper alloy and are decorated with silvering.

Post Medieval looped or "eye" part of a blunt-hooked dress fastener with three pierced attachment lobes, two next to the incomplete loop and one at the other end between a pair of scrolled lobes. At mid-point of both sides a bifid lobe. On the front face are the arms of the Commonwealth within a wreathed frame. These are to be viewed with the "eye" to the left. 37 x 2mm. Thickness 2mm. 1649 - 1660.

At the opposite end and part way along each side there is a small attachment loop. All three are circular with projecting external knops. The front of the plate is decorated with a stamped floriate motif. The catch-piece would have had a corresponding hook-piece.

The fitting is in the shape of the Prince of Wales feathers: the heraldic device consisting of three white feathers emerging from a golden coronet. The mount is symmetrical in design. It has a large central feather with a smaller feather on each side. These feathers abut a gently curving band which signifies the coronet.
