Hook-piece from a copper-alloy blunt-hooked fastener of post-medieval date. It has an oval plate with relief decoration of a stylised face set within an oval made up of two swags of drapery. There are possible flowers or plant stems curling to either side. This is all set in a double ridged frame, with a broad groove between the ridges. It is an elongated oval plate with a projecting rectangular bar, which is now broken. At both sides of the waist and the opposite terminal there are the remains of annular suspension loops, all of which are broken. It is undecorated on both faces. The copper alloy is worn and has a pale brown patina, mottled with green. Length: 34.3mm, width: 21.9mm, thickness: 1.8mm, weight: 3.8g.

An incomplete, corroded post-medieval cast copper-alloy dress fastener hook-piece, dating to the16-17th century AD (AD 1500-1700). It has an oval plate with three loops for attachment: two at the base, protruding to each side, and one at the other end with a projecting rounded collar. It has a moulded relief design: a lion passant guardant, facing left. Central on each long side is a bifurcated ornamental knop. The square loop has broken away, with only a vestige surviving beyond one of the side loops. Read (2008, pg 176; no. 670) classifies it as early post-Medieval Class A, Type 8.

A post-medieval copper alloy dress fastener, probably dating to AD 1550-1700. A sub circular fastener with moulded relief and openwork missing its hook. There is a pellet either side of the junction of the plate and the loop, a cross with central pellet which protrudes beyond the edges forming small rounded knops, and two knops either side of the hook. The fastener measures 21.7mm in length, 16.4mm in width, 1.67mm in thickness and weighs 1.26 grams. cf. No. 414 in Read (2008), Class E Type 3 and is dated to the early post medieval period.
