An incomplete copper alloy post-medieval dress fastener, c. 16th century AD. The fastener is the 'female' tag from pair of hooked tags; it has a sub-oval plate with a large rectangular loop at one end (now partially broken). Either side of the plate are two smaller pierced lugs, with a third at the rear of the tag for attachment (the third is also broken). The centre of the plate is decorated with a harp motif, which is likely to be a south western type. Cf. OXON-A8A1BE and GLO-EE60B7. Length: 37.22mm, width: 33.99mm, thickness: 2.94mm, weight; 7.18g.

An incomplete copper alloy single-hooked clasp of late medieval to early post-medieval date, c. 16th century AD. The form of the dress fastener comprises a trefoil of hollow domed bosses, each decorated with pellets and twisted wire filigree. The central circular depression is empty, but may originally have held glass or gem. Some evidence of white metal coating. On the back there is a soldered copper alloy attachment bar, and at the bottom, evidence of a broken hook.  Read, 2008: Class D Type 6, nos. 260-3. Cf. SF-CD194A and ESS-9B9893.

An incomplete early Post-Medieval dress fastener dating to AD.1550-1700. The dress fastener consists of the eye section of an hook and eye fastener. The cast plate is circular in plan and it is now bent backwards on one side. On the front it is decorated with a moulded-relief openwork depicting a central six-petalled flower.
