The object is composed of a sub-ovate plate with two, evenly spaced perforated lobes, each with a central circular perforation. The central plate tapers to a rectangular projection which terminates in a transverse break, which would have formed a blunt hook. The object comprises a circular plate, hollowed at the rear, with a trapezoidal loop for attachment at one and the remnant of a tapering hook opposite. The front of the circular plate is decorated with a circular framing ridge at the edge surrounding a motif of a human head in relief. A copper alloy probable shoe or clog hasp, which would have been used with a similar clasp to secure a wooden shoe to the foot, dating from AD 1700 - 1900. It is a rectangular frame round a rectangular opening. Copper alloy 'male' tag from a pair hooked tags. The tag has a circular plate with the base of a truncated hook at one end.  Either side of the hook are two pierced lugs (one is missing) with a third at the rear for attachment.
