An incomplete copper alloy hook piece from a hooked clasp and eye fastener. The end of the tapered hook is missing. The object comprises a circular plate, hollowed at the rear, with a trapezoidal loop for attachment at one and the remnant of a tapering hook opposite. The front of the circular plate is decorated with a circular framing ridge at the edge surrounding a motif of a human head in relief. A complete, post-medieval lead dress fastener of Read 2008 early post-medieval Class D Type 2, the separate hook is missing, consists of a twelve-petalled multifoil within a ring of pellets. On the reverse is a squashed loop, with a socket for the hook and two stubs. Diameter 22.96 mm; Thickness: 2.54 mm; Weight: 6.04g. 16th century.

Lead dress hook with a trefoil shaped serrated sided plate that supports three hemispherical domes. Each dome is decorated with a central boss on the top with four further bosses arranged evenly around the edge. In the centre of the plate is a large pellet that has three radiating ridges that dived the domes. On the reverse is a reward projecting rectangular lead loop, and at the lower edge is an expanded ridge that forms a socket that holds a rearward projecting hook made from a copper alloy pin.

A cast copper alloy Post Medieval probable dress fastening. This component of a dress fastening is the 'eye' and not the 'hook'. The body of the dress fastening is a sub-oval in plan with a straight terminal where a rectangular loop protrudes, forming the eye. At the lower tip and either side there are three integral lugs with circular perforations. The outer surface is decorated with a moulded flower and scrolls. The reverse is flat and undecorated. A complete lead alloy and iron dress hook dating to the early post-medieval period. The main body of the dress hook is made of lead alloy and is trefoil in shape. Surrounding each of the lobes of the trefoil are a series of pellets. The back of the dress hook is flat and has a length of lead which forms a rectangle for attachement to clothing. There is also an iron hook which is threaded through the lead and hooks back towards the mount. This is a Read Class D, Type 6 hooked clasp (Read 2008: 76) and is similar to number 252.

Post Medieval Lead sub-triangular object with pellet and curvilinear mouldings on one face and remains of iron wire set into thickening at one end on reverse. Probably part of a hooked dress fastener, a class normally made in silver or copper alloy, although there is no surviving evidence for an attachment loop. 16mm x 13mm. 16th century.
