An incomplete Roman dress fastener, which resembles a button-and-loop fastener, but with an integral disc-headed rivet rather than a loop. It has a damaged oval plate and an angled projecting 'button' at one end. It measures 9 x 21mm and probably dates from the 1st century AD.

Romano-British Dress fastener: rectangular sheet clasp with recessed hook at both ends, decoration comprises three incised lines on the back of both hooks and bordering and transverse lines on back of plate and bordering lines containing zig-zag of fine rocker arm on front of plate, 31 x 11mm.
