An incomplete copper alloy dress fastener dating to the early Post Medieval period (c. AD 1500-1600). The object is sub-oval in plan with an integral, rectangular loop or eye at one end. The object has four attachment loops: one either side of the main plate just above the rectangular eye and two at the terminal end of the plate directly opposite the eye. Two out of the four attachment loops are broken. The attachment loops project outwards beyond the line of the plate.
