There is a pellet either side of the junction of the plate and the loop, a cross with central pellet which protrudes beyond the edges forming small rounded knops, and two knops either side of the hook. The fastener measures 21.7mm in length, 16.4mm in width, 1.67mm in thickness and weighs 1.26 grams. cf. No. 414 in Read (2008), Class E Type 3 and is dated to the early post medieval period.

A Post Medieval copper alloy hooked clasp or eye fastener of 17th century date. The front face is convex with a moulded relief scallop shell design. There are three integral attachment loops; one at the top of the shell, the other two are placed at each side of bottom of the shell. There is a rectangular attachment loop at the bottom of the fastener.The fastener is Read class A type 6. See Read (2008) page 174 No 657 and 659 for similar examples. The fastener probably dates from AD 1600 to 1700.

A complete Post-Medieval silver mount likely dating to AD 1500-1600. The mount is oval and can be divided into two halves; the upper half is decorated with two scallop shells, with the rounded outer edges of the shells creating the outer edge of the mount; there is a shallow groove between the shells. A cast copper alloy dress hook or hooked tag dating to the early post-medieval period. The hooked tag has an oval plate decorated with scrolling and floral patterns within a beaded border. There is the remains of the circular attachment loop at the top has a beaded collar with two attachment loops at the base near the complete hook. An incomplete Early Post-Medieval (1500-1700) copper alloy decorated hooked tag of Read's Class A, Type 2 (with three attachment knops), hooked section. Two of the attachment loops are damaged, the rectangular loop at the top is missing. It measures 27.90mm in length, 27.1mm wide, 2.5mm thick and weighs 5.57 grams. It depicts a central expanding stem, and is comparable with Read, 2008; nos.639-44, with a spray of three flowers surrounded by ring-and-dot decoration flanking the outside edge.

A Post-Medieval fastener or toggle, It is 24.36mm in height, 18.85x7.08mm in max.width and thickness, and weighing 6.2g. The body (max.dimensions) is in the shape of a pointed oval and rounded in form, narrowing to a point at either end. From the centre at one side extends a short, oval-sectioned shaft which terminates in a pair of flat loops, positioned side by side and 15.91x2.72mm. A corroded post-medieval cast copper-alloy dress fastener hook-piece (16-17th century AD). It has an oval plate with three loops for attachment: two at the base, protruding to each side, and one at the other end with a projecting rounded collar. It has a moulded relief design: a lion passant guardant. Central on each long side is a bifurcated ornamental knop. The square loop has broken away, with only a vestige surviving beyond one of the side loops. Two of the attachment loops are damaged. It measures 33.76x27.06x1.97mm and weighs 5.9g. The plate is flat and slightly bent. It depicts a central expanding stem, and is comparable with Read, 2008; nos.639-44, with a spray of three flowers surrounded by ring-and-dot decoration flanking the outside edge. The loop measures 13.97mm wide (internal 9.59x4.45mm).

A 16th century silver gilt-dress accessory with three recurving hooks with tapering points, and a fourth hook at the top, which recurves to the front of the item to form a loop, perhaps to act as a suspension loop. The body of the item is circular with seven knops around the circumference. Attached to the centre is a sheet silver disc, cut to resemble petals which are reminiscent of a daisy (S. It is missing the end of the plate with (probably) an ornamental knop flanked by two attachments knops. It measures 28.24x25.59x1.56mm and weighs 4.40g. An incomplete silver dress fastener of Tudor date. A traingular plate with scalloped edges and cast decoration on the front. There are raised circular knops at the corners and at the mid-point of each side. Flanking each of the corners corner are two recessed loop-like elements. At the centre of the plate is a raised heart framed by a triangular rope border.
