The main body of the find is heart-shaped in plan with two small lobes above the heart. A post-medieval copper alloy dress fastener, probably dating to AD 1550-1700. A sub circular fastener with moulded relief and openwork missing its hook. There is a pellet either side of the junction of the plate and the loop, a cross with central pellet which protrudes beyond the edges forming small rounded knops, and two knops either side of the hook. The fastener measures 21.7mm in length, 16.4mm in width, 1.67mm in thickness and weighs 1.26 grams. cf. No. 414 in Read (2008), Class E Type 3 and is dated to the early post medieval period.

The upper part of rthe plate is on the form of a thistle flanked by two large leaves, the three stems of these elements continue to the break and are flanked by curving side projections and a rounded pierced projection on the right side (it is likely that there was a similar pierced projection on the left, now missing, in combination forming a fleur-de-lys). A copper alloy early post medieval hooked tag Class A, Type 1 dating to c AD 1540-1620. The hooked tag is incomplete as it is missing the hook and the attachment loops are incomplete. The hooked tag is cast in one-piece and has moulded relief and openwork. The tag is heart shaped with a rectangular loop (which is broken) extending from the top and a swag extending from the point at the bottom. A Post Medieval copper alloy hooked clasp or eye fastener of 17th century date. The front face is convex with a moulded relief scallop shell design. There are three integral attachment loops; one at the top of the shell, the other two are placed at each side of bottom of the shell. There is a rectangular attachment loop at the bottom of the fastener.The fastener is Read class A type 6. See Read (2008) page 174 No 657 and 659 for similar examples. The fastener probably dates from AD 1600 to 1700.

The mount is oval and can be divided into two halves; the upper half is decorated with two scallop shells, with the rounded outer edges of the shells creating the outer edge of the mount; there is a shallow groove between the shells. Two of the attachment loops are damaged, the rectangular loop at the top is missing. It measures 27.90mm in length, 27.1mm wide, 2.5mm thick and weighs 5.57 grams. It depicts a central expanding stem, and is comparable with Read, 2008; nos.639-44, with a spray of three flowers surrounded by ring-and-dot decoration flanking the outside edge.

The body (max.dimensions) is in the shape of a pointed oval and rounded in form, narrowing to a point at either end. It has an oval plate with three loops for attachment: two at the base, protruding to each side, and one at the other end with a projecting rounded collar. It has a moulded relief design: a lion passant guardant. Central on each long side is a bifurcated ornamental knop. A 16th century silver gilt-dress accessory with three recurving hooks with tapering points, and a fourth hook at the top, which recurves to the front of the item to form a loop, perhaps to act as a suspension loop. The body of the item is circular with seven knops around the circumference. Attached to the centre is a sheet silver disc, cut to resemble petals which are reminiscent of a daisy (S. An incomplete silver dress fastener of Tudor date. A traingular plate with scalloped edges and cast decoration on the front. There are raised circular knops at the corners and at the mid-point of each side. Flanking each of the corners corner are two recessed loop-like elements.
