A corroded and incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy dress fastener hook-piece (16-17th century AD). It has an oval plate with three loops for attachment: two at the base, protruding to each side, and one at the other end with lateral protrusions at its base giving the effect of a debased trefoil. There is a debased bifurcated knop midway along the long sides; both are now abraded. The hook has been lost just below the attachment loops after a diagonal break.
