A cast silver-gilt eye piece from a hook and eye dress fastener of early post-Medieval date (c 1500-1700). The object is moulded in the form of the bust of an angel or cherub with large feathery flanking wings or foliage sprays to either side. From the top of the head emerges a single large loop which would have received the matching hook. The left wing is largely missing. The surface is worn, but traces of gilding remain in the recesses either side of the head. There is a pair of smaller loops at the other end to attach to clothing.

The Hooked tag is of Read's (2008) Class E Type 3, having a circular central body in openwork, decorated with pellets around the outside and an equal-armed cross across the centre. The main body of the clasp is heart-shaped and openwork, forming a voided heart in its centre. Halfway down the outer edges of the heart are opposing projections or knops. A slightly corroded and damaged cast copper-alloy hook-piece from a post-medieval dress fastener (17th century AD). The plate is oval/ovoid with three debased trefoil attachment knops/loops. These are located along the sides and at one end. They are perforated and recessed probably for sewing the object to an item of dress (Geake 2001, 42). A cast copper-alloy post-medieval probable dress fastener element (c. 18th century AD). The plate consists of a trefoilate plate on a sub-rectangular base. The central fleur itself terminates in a trefoil and is perforated in the centre. The side fleurs are also perforated through semicircular side protrusions (Dia.: c. 2.7mm). A worn and broken cast silver post-medieval dress fastener in the form of a scallop (cf. TAR 2004, 288; ref. 261). A broken silver dress-hook, cast in the form of a scallop shell. At the top of the shell is a small attachment loop, with a further pair, one either side at the base (one of these is broken). A corroded, but complete cast copper-alloy Post-Medieval toggle. It has a circular cross-section but is pointed oval shape in plan. Cast integrally there is a flat-sectioned arm coming from its side which terminates in two small circular loops (set together like a figure of eight). The metal is red-brown in colour with overlying mid/dark green corrosion product. Such objects have been found all over the country and recorded on this database: see, for example, SF-6E4BF6. Generally, the arm has been found to be perpendicular to the main element.

A silver gilt dress-hook comprising a rectangular body with seven projecting knops and a central rectangular recess probably intended to take a separate fitting (as on the similar Hadleigh, Suffolk dress-hook 2003 T209). Incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy dress hook. The body of the hook is circular, with a raised circular ridge. There is a small circular rivet hole at the centre of the recessed circular area, presumably to attach further decoration to this area. The body has a decorative border of small moulded semi-circles, which are worn around the edge, however two small worn breaks are slightly visible where an integrally cast loop has broken off.
